How We Work
EMS is a training and consulting organization founded and run by public speaking experts Eliot M. Shapiro and Eric M. Schor. Headquartered in suburban Chicago, we serve companies across the U.S. and internationally, from small businesses to Fortune 100 corporations.
Founded in 1998, we have continually expanded our service offerings based on companies’ needs to upgrade communication capabilities and improve results within their organizations. Companies hire EMS to train employees at all levels, and continue to invite us back to provide follow-up training, work with new groups, or do more extensive work with individuals, small groups and executives.
Oddly enough, we can best describe ourselves by telling you what we’re not:
We are not corporate suits. You’ll never see us wearing a tie unless you request it. We’re sports fans, parents with young children, and committed members of our community who love what we do. We bring that energy to our work every day.
We are not liars. We tell you the truth, whether we’re paid to do so or not. When you work with EMS, expect direct, honest feedback and proven methods that will make you and your team better and more effective presenters.
We are not impersonal. Every EMS client works directly with Eric and/or Eliot. We work only with small groups at a time to make sure that everyone gets personal attention from us. When you hire EMS, you know who and what you’ll be getting.
If you like how we sound, we promise to make an even-better impression in person!
